Red Shouldered Hawk (Buteo lineatus)
The day I took this shot, there were several Red Shouldered Hawks reeling about over Galloway Ridge, and especially between the detention ponds and the open fields south the forest boundary between Galloway and properties to the south. It has been common to hear them calling from areas south of Galloway during the warmth of the day.
